摘要

The current project states its purpose as the installment and liftoff the Falling Film Evaporator UOP20-X-PHW which is located in the Unit Operations Laboratory of the Chemicals and Chemical Engineering Department of Universidad San Francisco de Quito. After establishing the operating conditions and solving technical dificulties, a 100% functionality of the equipment was achieved. The next process was to concentrate Copper Sulfate , orange juice and glucose. The evaporated solution of CuSO4 increased its concentration from 1% to 8,47% in terms of weight. In the case of orange juice, the increase was 9,6% of soluble solids to 67,4%, value which allowed it to comply with the specification presented in the COVENIN standard for fruit concentrates.
