One of the hazards identified in the paper mills, is the exposure to the cellulose dust pollution, in due to the fact, author applied the "protocol of specific sanitarysurveillance for “hypersensitivity pneumonitis”, to 150 workers from Familia Sancela Company exposed to the powder of cellulose. In a Transversal study, the investigator attempted to determine the prevalence of this illness; being that 68% of the workers has a level of acceptable risk, and a prevalence of extrinsic allergic alveolitis of 0,67% among the exposed personnel. The concentrations PM 2,5 of the paper dust, did not surpass in any case the permissible limits. It is correlated with the drop found prevalence. It is necessary to make a cohort study in the future, to determine if the risk of presenting extrinsic Allergic Alveolitis in the workers of the paper is highest than non exposed population.
