Interconectividad de la red bancaria mundial un análisis de redes al período 2008-2016

This work uses data on cross-border bank lending to build the topology of the Global Banking Network (GBN) over 2008-2016. Through the use of network metrics, we describe the structural properties of the RBM and analyze how its interconnectivity has evolved during the decade after the global financial crisis of 2008-2009. Countries that act as lender in the network, show more stability and consistency in their level of interconnectivity throughout the time; while countries that act as borrowers, show less consistency and more volatility in their integration to the network. Results also show that, after the financial crisis of 2008-09, the recovery in terms of interconnectivity has been slow while the amount of money lent across borders has declined during the period of analysis.
