Studies have reported that microvascular mandibular reconstruction with fibular flap is the technique of choice to prevent bone resorption processes as in grafting in older 5cm defects in the mandibular region. Therefore the purpose of this study is to assess the effectiveness of placing fibula microvascular flaps literature based on currently circulating. Be evaluated two clinical cases that were surgically treated by attending physicians who are guardians of this investigation. Research verifies the effectiveness percentages based on the use of the same technique and develop a protocol for reconstruction and rehabilitation of the edentulous mandible area affected by disease processes.
