This work aims to analyze titration the accident sharps and biohazardhealth staff of a public secondary level hospital from Ecuador from January toJune 2014, using a quantitative, retrospective, non-experimental study; Theuniverse of study of 898 workers among, doctors, dentists, nurses, medicaltechnologists, nursing assistants, laboratory assistants, cleaning staff, andstudents of many specialties who work in the hospital and constantly manipulatesharps that have been in contact with patient's body fluids.This analysis seeks to establish recommendations to prevent accidents andminimize sharps and allow health workers to provide a safe working environmentto normal.
