The present work analyses technology’s transference management on the grounds of the interaction between university-company, was selected for both the PUCRS. This interaction has increased and, in this context, institutions of education and research can contribute in an effective way to the generation of new technology, showing itself as an alternative of innovation to private educational institutions. In this direction, forms, factors involved and supportive structures and its mechanisms of management to technology’s transference were identified by interviews with researchers, businessmen and managers of technology’s transference on academic field. A qualitative research was chosen, based on studies of cases aiming to explore the perception of people involved in the phenomenon of analysis. The result founded allowed to identify the importance of supportive structures to develop interaction and transference of technology. Beside the facts involved founded in specific literature, motivations for companies’ participation in the interaction with university were founded, they relate to the image and the acknowledgment as an innovative company. The fact of the interaction with a private university was pointed out as a facilitator by the companies. Finally, the obstacles identified in the interviews and absent on theoretical data were about the difference of technical knowledge between academy and company and the consequent resistance in applying the results of technology’s transference. The results indicate new agent facts in the process of technology’s transference. Support structures are considered very important to management of technology’s transference and the interaction with the company. Increasing these activities, agility and flexibility are being demanded of these structures, under the penalty of lack of efficiency facing the activities related to innovation.
