The Envimnmental Load-reducing of Waste and the Economic lnstruments Okinawa lslands : An Empirical Research regarding the Method of Waste Disposl and Cost Burden befitting to Regional Characteristics.

摘要

The purpose of this paper is verifying the production structure of service and the possibility of the improvement in productivity in the Okinawa island area which has the remarkable regional characteristic compared with other areas about waste disposal services. It can perform clearly whether there is any room for the island area which tends to be geographically considered to be disadvantageous to increase the efficiency in provision of waste disposal services by changing the state of production, such as privatization and broadening, by this verification. The methods of research are quantity analysis and case study based on a hearing. Consequently, the following viewpoints became clear. (1) In Okinawa, since privatization is progressing compared with other areas, cost is held down low. The effect that the low labor cost of Okinawa is reflected in the charge of collection consignment by introduction of private sector vitality is also large. (2) On the whole, marine transportation cost is not so high. (3) It is possible to make it broadening and large-scale ofwaste disposal in the Okinawa island area including a detached island.
