A Cooperative Study of the University of the Ryukyus, Nagasaki and Kagoshima Universities 'Innovation of Education in Remote Islands to Affect a Request of the Present Age' Attempts in Okinawa Prefecture

摘要

Current conditions of schools and education in remote islands in Okinawa prefecture were investigated as a part of a study on education in remote islands and areas carried out by the educational faculties of University of the Ryukyus and Nagasaki and Kagoshima Universities. Studies were made especially on the "combined class" , "understanding of children" , "peace education" and "development of e-Learning system" to support the education and to solve educational problems in these areas. Based on these studies, some suggestions and attempts were made regarding the improvement of educations in the remote islands.
