The techniques of discrete field mechanics with a modified variational method are used to obtain an exact mathematical model to represent a circular cylindrical latticed shell with edge beams, This method has proven especially useful in obtaining closed form solutions for which this type of solutions appears very cumbersome or intractable. Numerical computations also are presented to the solutions, which is practical, more accurate and less time consuming than the methods in use.
