摘要

This paper investigates how the heat transfer coefficient and the friction factor are affected by wave length, when a sinusoidal wave plate is inserted uniaxially in parallel plate duct in order to augment heat transfer from the wall. The local heat transfer distributions are analogous to those of parallel plate duct with cylinders inserted in staggered arrangement. The average Nusselt numbers in periodic fully developed regimes, and the friction factors increase as pitch ratio P (P=L/H' L:wave length. H':amplitude) decreases. The performance ratio η at equal pumping power, attains a maximum at P=8, and slightly increases with Reynolds number inverslly in the case of ordinary turbulence promoters inserted.
