Open University of The Netherlands: Educational models, virtual learning environments and support for e-learning

Presentation held at international workshop on designing, developing, implementing and supporting e-learning in higher education with a focus on Eastern Europe. The workshop was organised within the framework of the European project ARMAZEG, a Tempus IV project with partners from Armenia and Georgia, and hosted at the K.U.Leuven, project co-ordinator. The presentation described the situation of the Open University in The Netherlands with regard to its lifelong learning model, virtual learning environments, its efforts to support students through social media, and its e-learning development and support structures.
