Business intelligence in the cloud demystified: challenges and opportunities of the Saas model for BI data warehousing

In this session, project partners Katholieke Hogeschool Mechelen and element61 will discuss the background and progress of the EFRO research project “Business Intelligence in the Cloud for SME". This 2-years project started earlier this year and is financed by the European Community and Agentschap Ondernemen Vlaanderen. The speakers will explain project objectives, project plan, the profile of the SMEs that have been selected for the 2010 pilot project and detailed activities to date. The session will in particular outline challenges and opportunities associated with bringing BI in a Saas/Hosting-model and the current “state-of-the-art".
