摘要

In this paper real-time monitoring and optimization of the laser piercing process is discussed.Firstly, an overview of the used optical setup is presented. Secondly, two major quality factors ofthe laser piercing process are introduced and the correlations between these quality factors and aphotodiode signal are demonstrated. Thirdly, a full factorial analysis of the effect of differentprocess parameters on the piercing or eruption time is presented. Finally the results of a real-timecontrol and optimization algorithm are discussed.
