We all strive to be good visitors in our pastoral care. But what is a good visit and can you do more than that? Can you also have an effective pastoral visitation? A visit where you are happy because you made a difference in the spiritual well being and healing of the one in front of you? I will talk mostly about the relationship between chaplains and patients, but it also applies to the relationship between pastors and parishioners. In those relationships I will highlight person to person ministry.
