In this paper the effect of design parameter variations on the dynamic behaviour of thermoplastic Monopan honeycomb sandwich panels is studied. In the first section the specific structure of Monopan honeycomb panels is illustrated, with a focus on the different design parameters. The second section deals with the numerical modal analysis of these panels and design parameter estimation. Scatter on several sandwich parameters is studied. The studied dynamic behaviour of the test panels is outlined. The third section covers the experimental validation of the dynamic behaviour of a number of test panels. In the fourth section the model updating procedure is discussed and the results from the updated models are given. In the last section conclusions are made, along with an outlook to future research.
