Status survey of two Florida seaside sparrows and taxonomic review of the Seaside Sparrow assemblage

The original primary intent of thisudproject was to determine the population status of two relatively obscureudsubspecies of Seaside Sparrows in Florida, the Smyrna Seaside SparrowudCammodramus maritimus Eelonota) and the Wakulla Seaside Sparrow (Ammodramus maritimus juncicola)uddistinctiveness of these little known birds. As explained in the followingudsection, a third and major objective appended to the project was to perform audtaxonomic review of the entire Seaside Sparrow complex of nine subspecies.
