This article deals with the theory and application of a hydroformingprocess. Nowadays automobile manufacturers use high strength sheetmetal plates. This high strength steel sheet metal plates are strain hardenedin the process of metal forming. With the use of high strength steel, carsare made lightweight, which is intended for low fuel consumption becauseof high energy prices. Some examples of application of a hydroformingprocess are simulated with FEM.
