The purpose of the present study was to investigate preschool teacheru27s mental health and to examine the influence of preschool-teacher-efficacy, social skills and work satisfaction on their mental health. One hundred preschool teachers (8 males, 92 females) were administered a questionnaire including preschool teacher-efficacy scale, Kiss-18, work satisfaction scale and BDI-II. With regard to the situation of mental health, preschool teachers scored slightly lower than the general level. Pass analysis indicated that 1) preschool-teacher-efficacy and social skills had a significant effect on work satisfaction, and 2) social skills and work satisfaction affected mental health significantly. Social skills influenced mental health of preschool teachers directly while preschool-teacher-efficacy had an effect on it indirectly. These results suggested that social skills training for preschool teachers would be effective in order to their mental health.
