Paper deals with the modelling of the safety-related Fieldbus communication system, which has to guarantySafety Integrity Level (SIL) according to standard IEC 61508. There are methods of safety analysis for the closed safetyFieldbus transmission system summarized. The mainly part the modeling SW tool SHARPE describes. The realized modelsare based on Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Markov analysis.
