Advanced solution of SIP communication server with a new approach to management

摘要

The paper deals with the development of anadvanced solution for a SIP communication server. Workswere carried out within the scope of Bright Embedded Solutionfor IP Telephony (BESIP) project. The output of theproject should be a modular architecture with additional functionalitysuch as speech quality monitoring and security of IPtelephony. We sought to unify the configuration of individualcomponents based on the NETCONF protocol. In order to beable to implement the idea into OpenWrt, we had to integratea complex support for the NETCONF configuration protocol.Our modifications of OpenWrt in respect of NETCONFwere accepted by the OpenWrt community and have beenincluded in OpenWrt/Trunk branch. The paper explains anddescribes the whole concept of the BESIP project and itsindividual modules.
