Emerging Privacy Issues and Solutions in Cyber-Enabled Sharing Services: From Multiple Perspectives

Fast development of sharing services becomes a crucial part of the process inconstructing a cyber-enabled world, as sharing services reinvent how peopleexchange and obtain goods or services. However, privacy leakage or disclosureis a key concern which may hinder the development of sharing services. Whilesignificant efforts have been undertaken to address various privacy issues inrecent years, there is a surprising lack of a review for privacy concerns inthe cyber-enabled sharing world. To bridge the gap, in this study, we surveyand evaluate existing and emerging privacy issues relating to sharing servicesfrom various perspectives. Differing from existing similar works on surveyingsharing practices in various fields, our work comprehensively covers sixdirections of sharing services in the cyber-enabled world and selects solutionsmostly from the recent five years. Finally, we conclude the issues andsolutions from three perspectives, namely, the user, platform and serviceprovider perspectives.
