摘要

The use of mechanical lifting devices to mobilize reduced mobility people is installed in the context of integrated care systems and also it becomes and strategy for responding to an aging workforce. The levels of reduce mobility of people due to the population aging are increasing, being necessary to ask questions related to the sustainability of the system and the efficiency in the care processes. In 2015 Lares, a non-profit organization of residential centers, there was a concern to analyze the workloads of caregivers according to the degree of dependence of the users. This reflection has its conclusion in the MORETAG study in which a reference model of care times and care of the auxiliaries in their daily tasks is collected. Aita Menni Hospital took part in MORETAG study and now want to  incorporate an analysis of devices, times and workloads when handling patients  using different types of lifts. In residential facilities, assistive devices are used as a basic tool for handling reduced mobility people to guarantee the highest level of safety for patients and to reduce caregivers injuries risk. The purpose of this study is to show the results of comparing ceiling lifts to floor lifts, measuring times and postural load analysis of workers through the REBA method (Rapid Entire Body Assessment) The aspects to identify in this study are: - To improve the productivity of healthcare workers - To minimize ergonomic risks - To optimize resource planning - Technical Report between the two transfer systems - To adapt healthcare facilities with the safest and most efficient technical devices according to the user - To measure qualitative aspects It is important to point out that there are no previous studies on this comparative analysis of assistive technologies. This is a cross-sectorial, qualitative and analytical study, developed in 2 non-profit facilities: Residencia Txurdinagabarri (228 places) in Bilbao and Residencia Joxe Miel Barandiaran (113 places) in Durango. Aita Menni Hospital, founded 120 years ago, today is present in 21 towns with 30 facilities in the Basque Country with 30 healthcare facilities. Aita Menni was founded to treat mentally ill people and through the years has gone on to mental illsness and intellectual disability, elderly people and rehabilitation programs for people who suffered brain damage. Assistive technologies and smart-homes are key technologies to increase people autonomy. Aita Menni first living lab was built in 2008 and since 2016 Aita Menni collaborates in Etxetek Program (Diputación Foral de Gipuzkoa). This program allows evaluating dependency levels, advising on housing adaptations and providing assistive technologies to people at their homes.
