Pressure oscillations in a side-dump ramjet engineudhave been studied, using a one-dimensional numericaludanalysis. The engine is treated in two parts; the inletudsection, including a region of two-phase flow downstreamudof fuel injection, and a dump combustor. Eachudregion is treated separately and matched with theudother. Following calculation of the mean flow field, theudoscillatory characteristics of the engine are determinedudby its reponse to a disturbance imposed on theudmean fiow. Results have shown favorable comparisonudwith experimental data obtained at the Naval WeaponsudCenter, China Lake.
