Le point sur PowerPoint. Dérives et confusion

PowerPoint has become an unavoidable tool in oral science communication. It is paradoxically frequently not mastered or used adequately, and therefore harshly criticized. This paper is a review of its origins, its affordances, of its effective use and of the foundations for criticism. It is concluded that PowerPoint is a "rhetoric machine" modifying communicational genres by boosting the use of images.
