Luta pela terra, direitos e latifúndio: a presença de um Estado ausente, da colônia ao Brasil contemporâneo

摘要

This paper deals with the land issue, whose roots are in the colonial period, problematizing the forms of land misappropriation in Brazil, according to interests of agrarian oligarchies. It is a theoretical essay, from the perspective of dialectical historical materialism, privileging the approach on Brazilian socio-historical formation. In the development, we highlight the discussion about the undue land appropriation and the interests of political and economic domination of the elites; the struggles for land and the contradictions of the state; arguing about the tune or not among the proposals for agrarian reform and maintaining the interests of the dominant elites.
