摘要

The methodology of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), utilized by industries to investigate potentialfailures, contributes to ensuring the robustness of the project and the manufacturing process, even before productionstarts. Thus, there is a reduced likelihood of errors, and a higher level of efficiency and effectiveness athigh productivity. This occurs through the elimination or reduction of productive problems. In this context, thisstudy is based on the structured application of PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis), associated withother quality tools, in a simulation of the assembly of an electro-pneumatic system. This study was performed atthe Experimental Laboratory of the Botucatu Technology Faculty (FATEC), with the support of five undergraduatestudents from the Technology Industrial Production Course.The methodology applied contributed to the forecast of 24 potential failures and improvements opportunities,investigation of their causes, proving to be a standard that is applicable to any productive process with a gain inefficiency and effectiveness. Therefore, the final strategy was to evaluate and minimize the potential failures, toreduce production costs and to increase the performance of the process.
