Surface tension profiles in vertical soap films are experimentallyinvestigated. Measurements are performed introducing deformable elastic objetsin the films. The shape adopted by those objects set in the film can be relatedto the surface tension value at a given vertical position by numerical solvingof adapted elasticity equations. We show that the observed dependency of thesurface tension versus the vertical position in the soap film can be reproducedby simple modeling taking into account film thickness measurements.
