Purpose of this research is to explore about the meaning of “Oom udPasikom” cartoon to corruption case inside the development of Wisma Atlet SEA udGames at Jakabaring, Palembang, South Sumatera in opinion article edition udSaturday, February 11 2012. ud The writer is using the following theories, newspaper as a mass udcommunication, cartoon picture as a communication proccess and social critic, udsemiotic theory and the Triangle of Meaning theory by Charles Sanders Pierce. ud The writer is using qualitative-descriptive method by using semiotic udapproach in this research with the “oom pasikom” cartoon as research object at udSaturday, February 11 2012 edition.
