udThe research was based on newspaper media to build and present a reality udof life into forms of advertising. In an advertisement possibilities everyday just udseen and then ignored. Most of the ads just using pictures, colors and icons just to udattract audiences who see it but not only that, the ad also has a message content ud(copywriting) to further attract audiences and consumer. So the audience can be udinfluenced and interested in the products advertised. This study focused on the udaudiences who love to read and pay attention to how the response is an ad that udread (copywriting). Message content (copywriting) is a puller or a sweetener to udattract an audience by using language that is sometimes difficult to decipher. udTherefore this study to explore the degree of difficulty or ease of sentences that udare used by advertisers in deciphering Ad New Honda Blade 110R at Jawa Pos udNewspaper udThe method used is the Cloze procedure, which includes quantitative udresearch using Yamane formula to determine the respondent. And Cloze Test udprocedures used to determine how high a level of ease that message to be udunderstood and understood by the audience by using a reference Readability udAnalysis. The research was conducted in Surabaya area and taken randomly from udeach village of the 4 sub-district selected in the South and East Surabaya. To then udsummed in order to know the contents of the message type is difficult or easy to udbe understood by the public udThe results of this study based test cloze readability analysis procedure of udthe 100 respondents message content (copywriting), including categories of udadvertising is difficult because of language dgunakan difficult to understand and udtoo long to remember. These results are also influenced by education level of udrespondents, lack of interest of the respondent and several times to read the ads in udeach issue. Digunkan also contained language that the foreign language in it so udthat the respondents did not understand the language used by these ads.
