PERENCANAAN DISTRIBUSI PRODUK PAVING DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE DISTRIBUTION REQUIREMENT PLANNING (DRP) (Studi Kasus Di UD. DUA SAUDARA - Surabaya

Many companies are often faced with the problems associated with distribution system. This problem arises because consumers are in geographically dispersed locations, this resulted in the need to keep inventories in multiple locations so that it can cause problems on management in coordinating the distribution system from the marketing department, also in the production that will produce the best product. It required a good distribution system and supply the right products for customer satisfaction and corporate profits can be maintained. UD DUA SAUDARA is a medium scale company that is developing, engaged in the production of paving and capable of supplying the product in Surabaya and its surrounding areas such as earth Sari Stores, Putra Makmur, Sinar Jaya, and Nusa beautiful, even now start reaching markets outside the island. The company has various kinds of products, but in this study we take two types of products namely Paving gray box (PKA), and Paving the red box (PKM). UD DUA SAUDARA�s distribution system which is currently run by a company has several weaknesses. Among them are frequent delays in product delivery for an order Given these problems, then conducted research with the method of Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) in the hope to be distributing the product from the company to optimally store. Distribution Requirements Planning is a method to handle the procurement of supplies in an echelon distribution network. The purpose of the Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP), which make planning and scheduling activities of a good distribution, so that success in meeting customer demand will be more optimal, increase sales performance in fulfilling orders in a timely and appropriate amount so that distribution costs can be reduced seminimun possible. Results for comparison of distribution costs by using the method the company is Rp. 12.496.500,00 and for the DRP method is Rp. 9.156.200,00, with a savings of 26,71. The results obtained planning and scheduling Sari earth distribution is as follows, PKA Products: Shipping found in March, June, September and December 297 m2, PKM Products: Shipping found in March, June, September, November and February as much as 256 m2. Putra Makmur, PKA Products: Shipping found in April, July, October and January as much as 294 m2, PKM Products: Shipping found in March, June, September and December as many as 259 m2.
