摘要

The study was based on the image on the cover of Gatra. On the magazine udcover looks small wooden boat overloaded due to be loaded by fourteen people udinside crashing ocean waves big enough. Caricature drawings contained in the udmagazine's cover carried reshufflle associated with President Susilo Bambang udYudhoyono to the United Indonesia Cabinet by adding thirteen new deputy udminister. The addition is believed to improve government performance and bring udbetter governance in the future. udThe method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive semiotic udapproach. In this study using the theory of Charles Sanders Pierce. Data were udanalyzed using an approach that divides the concept of Pierce signs the sign into udthree categories, namely icons, indices, and symbols and meaning using triangle udconcept. udFrom the analysis of these signs can be drawn a conclusion that is made up udof icons, indexes, and symbols in this study are related or linked. The existence of uda sense of optimism within the meaning of SBY to bring better governance in udspite of considerable challenges and little doubt of the thirteen new deputy udminister.
