Abstract—Personal Digital Shopping Assistant (PDSA) is audsoftware application used for mobile phone and PersonaludDigital Assistant (PDA). This application is developed to solveudthe difficulties of the customers while shopping. i.e. difficultiesudto find the products and the location of a particular shop,udcomparing the price and brand, and to get the latest info andudpromotions. There were two modules designed. Firstly, theudmodule for main PDSA application, developed using AdobeudFlash. Secondly, the module for administrator, to be used forudentering data in the web administrator at the shopping centerudserver, developed using PHP programming language andudMySQL database for storing the data. The features availableudare mapping feature to find shop locations with pictures of theudmap, price and brand comparison feature, searching feature toudfind the specific store or good suitable for the customers,udinformation and promotion feature to announce the latest news.udAt the administration side, there is a report and analysis aboutudcustomer behavior and habits while shopping. Testing for theudapplication created has been done using Personal DigitaludAssistant HP iPAQ h1940 connected to the mobile phoneudequipped with Bluetooth connection and dial up modem to beudconnected with shopping center server. Based on audquestionnaire that has been distributed to some customers, itudcan be concluded that the PDSA is suitable for use by all agesudfrom teenagers to adults, especially for young executives bothudmen and women and is an user friendly application with -udaverage rating of 85% and to assist and streamline the activitiesudof shopping, with - average rating 100%udIndex Terms—Personal Digital Shopping Assistant, mobileudphone, shopping center, Adobe Flash , PHP, MYSQL
