Information transfer is one of a major issue in informationudtechnology development. This is because one of basic purpose ofuddevelopment of information technologies is intended to transferudinformation between the parties. One of the latest developmentsudin information transfer is the routing called MANET (Mobile AdhocudNetwork) which is used as one standard routing on theudwireless world. MANET itself is divided into two methods areudproactive routing method, which is represented by the OptimizedudLink State Routing (OLSR) and reactive routing method, which isudrepresented by the Ad-hoc On-demand Distance Vector (AODV).udIn this research, will be conduct three different methodsudqualitative performance about OLSR and AODV to see aboutudtheir implementation, and performance about those two routingudmethod. This qualitative method that has conduct is theudcalculation method of the mathematical model, networkudsimulation method, and field testing methods. The network typeudthat have been use to this experiment is type A (using threeudnodes), type B (using four nodes), type C (using 5 nodes) and forudtesting a complex network (more than 10 nodes) will be used audnetwork simulation QualNet. Based on the testing results, we canudconclude that quantitative performance of AODV routing protocoludis better than the OLSR routing protocol in a simple network (noudmore than 10 nodes), while the OLSR routing on complexudnetworks (more than 10 nodes) better than AODV.udKeywordsudMANET, ad-hoc network routing protocols, OLSR, AODV
