Aim - The aim of this work is to present the resultsudof the researched group of patients treated with fireudneedles and fire cupping in knee osteoarthritis andudto explain the methods of the treatment.udMethods - Treatments were done in a clinic forudTCM and acupuncture in Skopje by a doctorudspecialist in acupuncture, indoor on a roomudtemperature with duration of 20-30 minutes. In alludpatients was applied acupuncture treatment withudfire needles on certain trigger points - Ashi, withudduration of 10-15 minutes and fire cupping withudduration of 5-10 minutes at the same points. Oneudspecific point which is located on the inside side ofudthe knee was treated in all patients. The researchudincludes 32 patients, of which 21 women and 11udmen, on age from 33 to 78.udResults - All painful symptoms that patientsudcomplained before were gone (pain in the knee,udedema, limited motion, numbness, loss of balance,udinsomnia), therefore the treatments have beenudeffective in all patients.udConclusion - Combined treatment of fire needleudacupuncture with fire cupping is one of the mostudcommonly used in knee osteoarthritis and thusudgives most satisfactory results in the treatedudpatients so far
