The main objective of this investigation was to study experimentallythe strength and behavior of prestressed plate-edge column connectionswith unbonded tendons representative of those used in prestressed flatplate buildings. To achieve the objective, four two-thirds scale, flatplate-edge column specimens were constructed and subjected to staticloadings in which both the shear and moment transferred between the slaband the column were increased proportionately until failure occurred. The experimental variables considered in this program were the directionof the banded tendons and the moment-shear ratio. Three models forpredicting the strength of prestressed concrete flat plate-edge columnconnections were investigated. The problems associated with predictingthe tendon stress were discussed and several .models for predicting thetendon stress were presented and evaluated with respect to measured values.
