A Method for Calculating the Natural Frequencies of Continuous Beams

This report describes a method for calculating the undamped naturalfrequencies of flexural vibration of elastic beams which are continuous overnon-deflecting supports. Numerical values of the quantities of "dynamic flexuralstiffness" and of "the product of dynamic flexural stiffness and dynamicflexural carry-over factor" which are necessary in the analysis by this methodare tabulated in the Appendix. The method is illustrated by a numericalexample.
