British Army logistics and contractors on the battlefield

The paper examines how the British Army has conducted logistic support duringthe last few decades and the pressures on it to change that have come aboutsince the end of the Cold War. It also looks at the nature of future conflictand how industry could be used to aleviate some of those pressures (primarilyfinancial) by supplying logistics support much closer to the frontline than hasbeen the case.
