The research question: “What kind of differences may two different kinds of teaching designs make for the students understanding of the theme basic electrical circuits “.This is a survey with a prior test and a following test of two classes after having followed two different kind of teaching designs. First one based on traditional lectures of theory finishing with a fully open survey. The other one based on a half open survey finishing with use of the drama model of Tveita (2004).The survey indicates a positive effect of learning among the students using the half open survey and the drama model. The female students seem to gain the best effect of this design. The fully open survey seems to gain the best effect working with more abstract theory. While the half open survey gives a better score working with the students daily concepts of beliefs. Both of the teaching designs appear to promote better interest and dedication among the students.
