摘要

The aim of this work was to built a high performance hyperspectral imaging system, a state-ofthe-art technology with applications among many fields, like medicine. Chapter 1 introducesthis technology and its benefits. In Chapter 2, we have a look at the physical theory behindthe technology, the elements needed to build such a system and the problematic introduced bythem. Chapter 3 deals with the actual design of the system. Reasons supporting the election ofone model of camera available in the market over another are presented (3.1). Also, the mainfeatures for all the final elements of the system are commented. A closer look to the system froman optical point of view is also included (3.3). Description of the software part of the system isthe main topic in Chapter 4. First, a user interface developed within this work is presented (4.1).Then, the synchronization issue is treated (4.2). Two solutions are described, although noneof them could be fully implemented, due to problems with the RF driver. Chapter 5 presentsthree tests that should be carried out with the final system, to have a better knowledge of itsperformance (5.1 and 5.3), and to improve it (5.2). Results of two additional tests performedwith a borrowed hyperspectral imaging system are shown in Chapter 5 (5.4 and 5.5). Finally,Chapter 6 provides some pointers regarding future work and improvements of the system.
