In this paper, we observed differences in physical characteristics and motor abilities between students attending sports extracurricular activities and students not attending sports extracurricular activities.ud333 students between 1st and 5th grade participated in the research. They attended the Dr France Prešeren Elementary School in Ribnica and the Dr Ivan Prijatelj Elementary School in Sodražica in the 2014/15 school year.udWe collected the data using a questionnaire and results from physical education cards of students whose parents allowed the use of data in the research. We collected the data in November 2015. We edited the obtained data with Microsoft Excel and analysed it with SPSS. We calculated the arithmetic mean, standard deviation and variance analysis to determine differences.udWe found that there are statistically significant differences in the "600-metre run" measurement task and in the average of all motor tests between students attending sports extracurricular activities and students not attending sports extracurricular activities.ud
