The report provides the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) detailed estimateof the capital investment needed to build publicly owned wastewater treatment facilities to comply with the requirements of Sections 205(a) and (516(b)(1) of the Clean Water Act (CWA). In addition, the report provides an update of EPA's 1988 assessment of the wastewater treatment and collection needs for Federally recognized Indian Tribes and Alaska Native Villages (hereinafter referred to as Indians or Tribes).
