The Validated Processor List identifies those COBOL, Fortran, Ada, and Pascalprogramming language processors that have a current validation certificate and those SQL language processors that have a registered test report, referencing the applicable Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) as of the date of the publication. The testing of language processors to determine the degree to which they conform to the Federal Standards is required by Government agencies as specified by the FIPS, Federal Information Resources Management Regulation (FIRMR) Parts 201.13 and 201.39, and the associated Federal ADP and Telecommunications Standards Index. The List is updated and published quarterly.
