The SysteMatic Acquisition Requirements Tailoring and Scheduling system (SMARTS) is a menu driven program that streamlines the process of developing Statements of Work and Contract Data Requirements Lists. Originally designed for the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), SMARTS automatically generates procurement request documentation and allows the user to work on several requests concurrently. A maintenance program is in place to ensure that SMARTS remains up to date with changes to source documents that affect the procurement process.
