Submarine Cable Project: A Definitional Mission Report.

The United States Trade and Development Program (TDP) is in the process of evaluating whether or not TDP funds should be made available to a U.S. firm or firms to conduct a feasibility study on the technical and economic viability of interconnecting Northern and Southern Luzon Grid through a submersible power cable system. The definitional mission tasks included a review of the concept for the project, and an evaluation of the cost for the total project. The contractor for the definitional mission was also required to assess the export potential for U.S. equipment and services needed for project implementation.
