As part of the Symposium a case study workshop attempted to simulate a concrete planning and decision making process dealing with solid waste management in the hypothetical 'Puedam-Region.' The document contains various aspects of a comprehensive solid waste management for the hypothetical region. It covers waste quantities and composition, storage and collection, transport and landfill operations, incineration and compositng, and hazardous wastes in a case study format.
