摘要

The report documents the water quality of surface runoff and base flow of a 0.43-sq mi (square mile) watershed in the most upstream part of the Bald Eagle Creek watershed near Fawn Grove, York County, from October 1985 through September 1987 (pre-BMP phase). The report describes the study area, methods used, the area's geohydrology including soil chemistry, and hypothetical effects of BMPs on surface-water quality. Data in the report will aid agricultural managers in developing management plans for farms and in evaluating whether voluntary implementation of BMPs will be successful in improving the water quality of the Lower Susquehanna River basin.
