Consolidated Data Network (CDN) Program Overview (Department of the Treasury)

The report describes the Treasury's Executive Agent Program for the ConsolidatedData Network. The CDN Executive Agent Program supports the Department's continuing efforts to anticipate, plan for, and manage the use of Federal Information Processing (FIP) resources to support its mission critical functions. The CDN program encompasses the planning, budgeting, design, installation, operation, management, maintenance, enhancement and systems integration of a high capacity, packet switching data communications network for the Department of Treasury. CDN provides common communications links and interoperability among all terminals and hosts on the network and meets other stringent requirements for response times, availability, ease of use, expansion and security.
