The directive provides guidance primarily on the implementation of five-yearreviews and the issues associated with implementation. These include: triggering points for reviews, responsibilities and funding, content, and results of reviews. The goal of this directive is to assure that reviews are implemented in a consistent manner nationally, with appropriate consideration of local concerns and widely varying site conditions.
