Agriculture in a North American Free Trade Agreement: Analysis of Liberalizing Trade between the United States and Mexico.

The report builds on the Interim Review provided by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to Congress in April 1991 and was written, reviewed, and updated by analysts in the Economic Research Service (ERS) and the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) of USDA. It is based on information and data gathered by USDA and by ongoing research being conducted by USDA. The overall negotiations are between the United States, Mexico, and Canada; however the focus of the report is the effects of an agreement on the United States and Mexico. The Agricultural Counselor's office in Mexico City helped with all aspects of the report.
