Income Status of Older Women. A Briefing Paper for the National EldercareInstitue on Older Women

The paper discusses the income status of African American and Hispanic women.Other groups of women of color are excluded from the data analysis because sufficient data are not available. The paper focuses on two areas: (1) the current income status and (2) work experience and earnings history of recently retired women. The data are organized so that the figures for African American and Hispanic women can be compared with those for white women.
